I visited Brooklyn, New York a few months ago for a photography workshop (Wrkshp) The workshop was amazing. I got to hear from some of the wedding industries lead creatives, and how they go about visual storytelling. Making art and bringing the right feel and atmosphere to each day. Finding balance in both reflecting who you are as an artist, and simultaneously who your subjects are in those moments, both a challenge and honor. The trip brought a new sense of renewal in my approach and a great opportunity to practice another type of storytelling close to my heart, travel photography.
Throughout my life, I was constantly on to another country, either moving with my family or traveling solo. My love for travel comes from the unknown but the surprisingly familiar ways we all live, love and make our way through this life. Each city, country, continent, shows you the history of its people through architecture, streets, and connections that you come across. New York City & Brooklyn are no less fascinating, even after a few visits.
I spent a couple of days exploring. Just getting lost. My feet and back ached at the end of each day, but it was well worth it. For the freedom that comes with roaming a city aimlessly, only a camera in hand. Take a look behind my lens, and enjoy exploring the city yourself x
