Capturing life for families during Covid-19.
After watching the curb flatten and Toronto move towards phase-2 of opening up the city, I will be offering what has now become known as “Porch-traits Photos” to local Toronto couples & families. In such unprecedented times, these porch portraits will serve as a reminder of how in spite of these uncertain, and sometimes very frightening times: love, family, and community have ultimately kept us strong and together.
Giving Back
In honor of all the front-line workers and amazing charities around Toronto helping during this pandemic, every porch portrait session will contribute a donation to the Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank.
The TVFB opened its door in January of 2015. A volunteer-powered charity, their mission, to ‘provide healthy, environmentally-responsible and cruelty-free foods to vegetarians & vegans in need’ here in our beloved Toronto. Fresh fruits and veggies are a rarity in most food banks and get snatched up pretty fast, with the TVFBs contribution to those in need, more people will have the opportunity to eat fresh foods, and those who are veg will have access to vegan-friendly whole food meals.
Telling your Story
This is a moment to not only document your family’s story while under quarantine, but a chance to give back to your community during these trying times. Each portrait session will be done SAFELY and within the recommended physical distancing rules for Covid-19 safety. The rate for family or couples porch portraits is $200, of which $20 from each session will be donated directly to the Toronto Veg Food Bank. You will receive all your images from your portrait session and receive full access to them online through our private high-resolution gallery.
Safety: Number 1 Priority
Prior to our session, I will give you a call that I am about to arrive. You can come out to sit on your porch, front steps, or even stay behind a glass window, where I will take photos of you & your love, or your gorgeous but crazy family from a safe distance for up to 15mins. Only your live-in family members should join and of course, furry four-legged friends are more than welcome!
Letting your Neighbors Know
Be sure to let your neighbors know to expect your porch session, so they can stay informed and keep a social distance. In fact, if you are able to coordinate your time slot with their porch portrait photographs, I will add an additional $20 toward the Toronto Veg food bank on your behalf!
Help raise charitable funds for your community, while documenting a glimpse to family life during Covid-19.
