A great way to capture your love and document this time in your life together is an intimate at-home couples photoshoot. These few months have really shown us how important and comforting the homes we’ve built together & share truly are. We’ve spent hours hanging out together as couples during this pandemic, learning to balance work and play, cooking, folding laundry, reading books while cuddled up on the couch, or just enjoying a quiet moment sipping a cup of coffee, mid-afternoon, next to the kitchen counter.
Its been the best of times (and sometimes the worst of times) but having your love by your side has made it all a little more possible and bearable. And with more and more couples choosing to live together before getting married, so this period in time is a great moment to capture and remember all the whirlwind of exciting firsts for you!
In-Home Lifestyle Session
Romance is where the moment and heart beats! If you are in a crowded street or cuddle up at home, the magic of your connection will come through. But there is something special and intimate about taking your couple or engagement photos in the first home you’ve shared.
That being said, calling them at home sessions is not a hard and fast rule on where you should actually have these portraits taken! The most important thing to remember is that it’s just the two of you. Either hanging out at your apartment or getting cuddly at a sweet little Airbnb (where you don’t have to spend a few hours cleaning up beforehand! Possible bonus), and taking this pocket in time to enjoy each other and where you’ve come so far in your journey, will always be memories worth looking back on.

Having the lovely, and peaceful Lovt Studio here in Toronto was perfect for Mallory & Jesses’ in-home couples session. Everything set up with a homey, cozy decor, and the perfect amount of low-key vibes to get you relaxed and playful. Just an all-around great space, that invites intimacy and fun. Having a loft or quiet home to photograph in is ideal for you to spend quality time together, and really connect without any onlookers or crowds when you book a shoot, if that’s not your thing!

HOW WE MET
–
Sparks
You could say that a light bulb sparked, years later, when Mallory was saying goodbye to Jesse. He was heading south to Atlanta and then to Japan for a few months that summer. Suddenly it occurred to her, she could lose her best friend to distance, that he would travel away, fall in love, and never return to their beloved Six!
It’s okay though. Jesse didn’t fall in love while abroad. He came back to Toronto to give his heart away instead.. Mallory and Jesse started dating soon after his return, and they became inseparable. Its been 9 years since their first date, and they are still scheduling a special ‘date night’ each week, affectionately dubbed ‘Woo Wednesday’.
“It’s like a first date every time.” Jesse says. “We try to impress the other with what we have planned. I woo her.” Winning Mallory’s heart over & over again is the goal. And…, I think he’s winning.
